Ness Notes for August 25

The Cowboys will offer Terrell Owens a contract next month that will make the franchise a winner for life. How much money they can offer him depends on a lot of things. How good is Owens? How much is in his contract? Will Owens want to play for Dallas?

My free play for Monday is on the Oak A’s over the Tex Rangers at 8:05 ET. bonus25k I’m passing tonight in MLB but have a 22* in the NBA. In tonight’s college basketball I’m featuring a LEGEND Play (4-0 in Tuesdays) and in the NBA, I’m featuring a LEGEND Win (5-0 in Wednesdays).

The Dodgers did Wednesday what no other team had managed to this year–they shutout the Padres. However, the confirmed that the Padres are the team’s primary limp, as LA won yesterday’s 8-1. The D’backs and Braves are both playing tonight.

My free play for Friday is on the Brewers at 7:05 ET. I’m passing tonight in MLB but have a 22* in the NBA. In Friday’s college basketball I’m featuring a LEGEND Play (4-0 in Tuesdays) and in the NBA, I’m featuring a LEGEND Win (5-0 in Wednesdays).

Miami now leads the Nets by 2.5 games and the Bobcats by 5.5 games in the Atlantic Division. The Magic, who played poorly on Tuesday, are still 8-5.

Tonight’s NBA card features just four games. The Pistons, who host the Hawks at 7:35 ET, open at Detroit. Detroit is favored by 8.5 points tonight with a total of 211. The Lakers are in Portland to play the Blazers at 10:35 ET. Portland is favored by eight points with a total of 211.

In the late game, the Cavs, who are just 2-10 ATS their last 12, host theorses in Minnesota at 8:05 ET. bonus25k The Timberwolves are favored by 8.5 points with a total of 211.

In that game, the Spurs are in Seattle to play the Sonics. Oklahoma City is favored by 8 points with a total of 200. The Spurs are favored by 8 points in the late game. In the nightcap, the Lakers are in LA to play the Clippers. That game starts at 10:35 ET and tips off ESPN at 11:35 ET. The Clippers are favored by 8.5 points with a total of 210 but the Lakers are favored by 8.5 points with a total of 210.

Tonight’s NBA has a three-game card with TNT carrying a doubleheader. The Pistons are in Chicago to play the Hawks. The Bulls are little odd in the East with the Nets, Heat, and Bulls all at home. The Mavs are in Houston to play the Rockets. That game tips off at Houston at 8:05 ET. The Rockets are favored by 7.5 points with a total of 210.

Although the Pistons are just playing their second game since their Andre Iguodala injury, they are a dissapointment this week. Detroit has lost 18 of 21 (5-9 ATS) their last 17 games, while Minnesota is only 6-9 SU (5-8 ATS) and the Timberwolves’ Mathias Kiwanuka is just returning after an injury. However, the Pistons are the league’s worst defensive team (106.5 PPG allowed) and the most under .500 at 32-34-1. Detroit is favored by 8.5 points with a total of 210.

The Lakers believe that all they need to do to improve their Larry State dominance is to get healthy. UCLA guard Jordan Farmar is expected to play tonight after scoring 27 points in the team’s 94-83 win over the Bucks on Saturday. significan guard Luke Walton also should play tonight after scoring 35 points in the Lakers’ 105-99 win over the Celtics on Saturday. Lakers’ Steve Nash is questionable tonight due to a groin injury and does not want to play tonight.

Farmar has proven that he can score when he wants to and all the UCLA staff could get behind him. However, it might be worth looking at Memphis forward Mike Miller who seems to have some traction in Memphis. Miller is 6-0AST, 5-1US and 4-0US this season and while he does not offer the scoring of a point guard, he is second in the league in assists with 4.0A and is third in scoring (14.2 PPG) and nickname “The Machine” due to his 6-0 scoring in the post and on his drive.
